Stoke City FC 2008/2009 Full Price Season Ticket Details

Stoke City FC 2008/2009 Season Ticket 'Early-Bird' prices advertisement.

In conjunction with Stoke City Fans Forum, SCWIM has been in close consultation with Stoke City FC regarding the pricing structure for the 2008/2009 season tickets.  The prices and eligibility criteria for disabled season tickets are shown below.

To qualify for a disabled season ticket, the applicant must provide documentary evidence of being in receipt of the Higher Level of Disability Living Allowance.

This means that the applicant must be in receipt of either the High Rate Care Allowance component, or the High Rate Mobility component, or both.  This will also provide satisfactory proof that a Personal Assistant is required, whereby the Personal Assistant will be admitted FREE OF CHARGE.  This criteria applies to the purchasing of season tickets and match day tickets.

Please note that documentary evidence of the disabled applicant being in receipt of the Higher Level of Disability Living Allowance, as detailed above, will be requested by Stoke City FC at the time of purchasing a disabled season ticket.

Stoke City FC Disabled Car Parking 2008/2009 (Limited Availability)

To qualify for a disabled car parking space for the 2008/2009 season (priced at £75 for the season) the applicant must provide documentary evidence of being in receipt of the Higher Level of Disability Living Allowance.  Again, this can be either the High Rate Care Allowance component, or the High Rate Mobility component, or both.  This is consistent with the policy for purchasing season tickets and match day tickets.

As disabled car parking spaces are limited, priority will be given to seat season ticket holders.

Blue Badges, on their own merit, do not meet the requirement for a discounted seat or car parking pass.

SCWIM would like to further highlight to all potential disabled ticket applicants that unless the above criteria is met, then the Standard Seasonal, Match, and Car Parking prices will apply.

SCWIM Player of the Season 2007/2008

The final home league game of the 2007/2008 season against Leicester City on Sunday 4th May 2008, provided the ideal backdrop for the annual Stoke City Player of the Season presentations.  However, the wet and windy conditions could not dampen the enthusiasm of those people taking part in the presentations.

One player emerged as a clear winner with the votes from SCWIM members.   Therefore, the winner of the SCWIM Player of the Season Trophy 2007/2008 was City’s outstanding Liam Lawrence.  Congratulations to Liam, who polled a staggering 77.78% of all votes received from SCWIM members, and who also swept the board by collecting awards from Stoke City’s numerous official supporters clubs.

The person selected to present the SCWIM trophy to Liam was highly delighted SCWIM member Arthur Barker.   The above picture shows Arthur Barker, left, alongside Liam Lawrence, centre, and SCWIM Treasurer Paul Barker, right.   The above photograph is reproduced with kind permission of Stoke City Football Club.

To mark this special occasion, Arthur received a commemorative lead-crystal trophy as a thank you gift from SCWIM for presenting the SCWIM Player of the Season Trophy to Liam.  Both Liam and Arthur were equally thrilled to receive their respective awards.

After all the formalities had been completed, Arthur reflected on his special day by saying: 'It’s been really great to be chosen to present the trophy to Liam on behalf of SCWIM.  I’m overwhelmed to be honest!  Thank you to all at SCWIM for my trophy, it’s very kind gesture and something that I’ll always treasure.'

Once again, congratulations to Liam Lawrence on scooping the SCWIM award in addition to all the others he so deservedly received.   Also, congratulations and sincere thanks to Arthur Barker for presenting the SCWIM trophy.   From all connected with SCWIM, thank you.
